These easy to make breadsticks are sure to be a hit for your holiday parties. Place them on a sideboard with your favorite dip or spread, along with your other appetizers.

31/2 Tbsp sesame seeds

25 slices white or whole wheat bread

2 sticks(1 C) butter softened

2 Tbsp fresh chopped parsley, or 2 tsp dried parsley

2 tsp fresh chives, or 2/3 tsp dried chives

1/2 tsp dried tarragon

1/2 tsp garlic salt

1/2 tsp dried marjoram

In a small skillet over medium to low heat, toast sesame seeds until they are fragrant, and a golden brown color. this will take about 8 to 10 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 250 F and spray 2 baking sheets with non-stick cooking spray or lightly grease.

Cut crusts from bread using a sharp knife. In a small bowl combine butter, chives, parsley, tarragon, marjoram, and garlic salt along with the sesame seeds and mix well.

Spread mixture onto one side of each piece of bread and then cut into 4 equal strips and place butter side up onto baking sheet.

bake for 20 minutes and turn off oven, let them stand in the oven with the door closed for another 15 minutes. Remove and place on a wire rack until completely cool.

while these treats are best served warm, they will keep in an airtight container for several days.
