This dip is absolutely wonderful for those gatherings where you want your guests to mingle. When you place a bowl of this on our table it’s a sure thing that people will gather around and naturally begin to chat. You can add a bit of chopped shrimp or any other meat to it for something a bit different. You can also try taking a loaf of round bread and removing the center. Place the bread in an oven on low heat until the crust gets a bit hard, and use it for your serving bowl.

1 8 oz package cream cheese

2/3 cup cottage cheese

2 tsp dijon mustard

1/4 tsp granulated garlic

3/4 C prepared cheddar cheese spread

1/4 C chopped fresh parsley

2 Tbsp minced green onions

You can prepare this dip in a blender or food processor by combining the cream cheese and cottage cheese and pulsating on and off until smooth, otherwise, bring cream cheese to room temperature and combine cottage cheese. Beat with a mixer on high speed until mixture becomes smooth.

Stir in dijon mustard and garlic and mix until well blended and smooth. Add Cheddar cheese spread, parsley and green onions and stir well.

Place cheese dip into a serving bowl (or bread bowl) in the center of a platter and arrange celery sticks, toasted bread wedges or breadsticks and crackers around the outside of the platter. Serve immediately.
