Blonde brownies, or white chocolate brownies are a moist and tasty addition to your holiday cookies or perfect for an evening snack session. The white chocolate has a less full taste than the darker item, but in this case both are used.

White chocolate brownie batter will freeze well so that you have it on hand for baking for a holiday drop in guest, or to pass along to a neighbor for a quick holiday gift.

These white chocolate brownies are extremely rich and a small piece goes a long way.

1 and 1/4 cups all purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

pinch of salt

6 ounces white chocolate chopped, or Nestles white chocolate chips

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, chopped

2 eggs lightly beaten

1 tsp vanilla

6 ounces semi sweet chocolate, chopped, or Nestles chocolate chips

7 ounces chocolate

1 cup pecans(optional)

Preheat the oven to 350 and grease a 9 inch spring form pan

sift flour, baking powder and salt together

in a medium saucepan melt the white chocolate, add sugar and butter stirring til smooth.

cool slightly and then add the eggs and vanilla

stir in flour til well blended

stir in chocolate chips

Spread evenly in a pan

Bake for 20-25 minutes

remove from the oven and spread the remaining chocolate chips over the top and return to oven for one minute.

Spread the melted chocolate chips over the top to smooth and if desired press pecans into the top, or if you prefer, candied or maraschino cherries.
